Jumpstart your corporate event

From galas to team training, NJ corporate events span a range of occasions. Your guests are there for a particular experience and you need to bring it in on budget. Consider these questions when putting together your corporate occasion and you’ll be off to a strong start.

First, define the event’s purpose and objectives. Next, know your audience. Use those demographics to style the event, plan activities and fulfill guest expectations. Then, based on headcount and budget, look for a venue that sets the tone and provides the needed location, capacity, and services.

For a major gala or fundraiser, plan to book your venue a year in advance to give you plenty of planning and promotion time. Smaller events, like weekday company team-building and classroom training sessions, should be booked 4-6 months in advance.

Don’t try to manage it all yourself. Delegate tasks to colleagues and rely on your vendor team. Keep an eye on the budget to avoid wasting or misallocating resources. And if your event involves outdoors, like a golf tournament, make sure you have a contingency – whether it’s a backup “rain date” or a plan to take it inside.

The history of our renowned golf course.

Our golfing tradition dates back to the 1800’s when it was first built as part of a private estate. Established in 1921, as Braidburn Country Club, the original layout was designed by renowned Golf Architect Herbert Strong. In 1985, under new ownership, it was renamed Brooklake Country Club and the layout was redesigned under the expertise of Geoffrey Cornish. Mr. Cornish is widely regarded as one of the leading experts in golf course design. He has authored several books on golf course architecture and its history.
